FACT: Newspapers all have a strong editorial bias (from the Daily Mail to the Guardian), and much 'news' is selectively reported. FACT: Bizarre notions of 'balance' persuade broadcasting editors to present both sides of a scientific argument equally, even when one side is supported by only a tiny minority of scientists - this can mislead people into believing there is genuine debate on a subject, even when there isn't.
